
The Bobbsey Twins Or, Merry Days Indoors and Out
"The Bobbsey Twins" by Laura Lee Hope is a children's book series published from 1904 to 1979, with 72 volumes in total. The books follow the adventures of the upper-middle-class Bobbsey family and their two sets of fraternal twins: older siblings Bert and Nan, and younger siblings Flossie and Freddie. As the series evolved, mysteries and detective plots became central to the stories, taking the twins to real places depicted in meticulous detail. The series was actually written by multiple authors under the pseudonym Laura Lee Hope, created by the Stratemeyer Syndicate.
