"Dang Zhi" by Wanchun Yu is a historical novel written during the late 19th century. This work is positioned as a continuation or response to the famous classic "Water Margin" (Shui Hu Zhuan), focusing on the themes of loyalty and treachery, particularly highlighting the character of Song Jiang, who is portrayed as duplicitous.
