The Memoirs of Jacques Casanova de Seingalt, Vol. III (of VI), "The Eternal Quest" The First Complete and Unabridged English Translation, Illustrated with Old Engravings
"The Memoirs of Jacques Casanova de Seingalt, Vol. III (of VI), 'The Eternal...'" by Giacomo Casanova is an autobiography written starting in 1789. This third volume forms part of Casanova's massive 3,500-page life story, chronicling the adventures of the famous Venetian from his birth through 1774. Written in French rather than his native Italian, the work remained unpublished during his lifetime and languished in censored, mistranslated versions for over a century before the original manuscript was finally recovered and properly published in the 1960s.
